When did you serve?
What "Presumptive" Means
A presumptive condition means the VA must presume your condition is connected to your military service if you served in a qualifying location during a qualifying time period. You do not need a nexus letter. You do not need to prove the exposure caused your condition. The law does it for you.
If your claim for one of these conditions was previously denied, the PACT Act itself is new and relevant evidence that justifies a Supplemental Claim under 38 CFR §3.2501.
Presumptive Conditions by Service Era
Post-9/11 (Burn Pits / Airborne Hazards)
Vietnam Era (Agent Orange / Herbicides)
Gulf War (Undiagnosed / Multi-Symptom)
Radiation Exposure
